The Insurance Charities were our charity of the year for 2018.
With generous charitable donations going towards a raffle at our 2018 event, online donations from Abbey Legal, Chief Vehicle Rentals, Coplus, Fish Insurance, NCI Insurance and Razorblue contributed to an overall total of £1,005 raised.
Established in 1902, The Insurance Charities support past and present insurance employees and their dependants in the UK and Ireland, and gave out over £1.2 million of help to insurance people in need last year.
The Insurance Charities can help with anything from one-off payments, such as a new fridge, washing machine, or other essential household appliances to providing on-going help while individuals and families are struggling to support themselves. They can also signpost people to specialist advice services and give practical support to those with health, money management and housing concerns.
The charity understand that anyone can suffer a misfortune in their life which can turn their world upside-down and transform their day-to-day life from being manageable to unmanageable. Whether it is an illness that means a parent can no longer work, a child with health issues that require on-going treatment or a breakdown of a relationship or redundancy, they can be there to help.
Support is available for anyone in the insurance sector, from brokers, to loss adjusters, claims assistants, underwriters, call centre operators or PA’s in an insurance company. As long as your employment is insurance related and you meet the eligibility criteria The Insurance Charities can support you.
